The first model of the Gemini 4 generation of natively multimodal reasoning models. Argon is a new frontier model (not a fine-tune of an earlier one), aimed at real-world software engineering, enterprise knowledge work such as legal and finance, and cybersecurity defense. Google cannot rule out that it reaches the Critical Capability Level for cyber uplift or biological uplift, and ships it under safety cases with added safeguards. Model information; Frontier Safety

About this card. A model card is the maker's own account of a model: what it's for, how it was trained and tested, and where it falls short. This page condenses Google DeepMind's Gemini 4 Argon Model Card. Every claim carries its source page.
